I joined Reed as a Sales Manager in the International Sales Group, and worked across a number of exhibitions. Now I’m in charge of all aspects of one event – sales, marketing, show organisation and budget. With over 450 exhibitors, 6000 visitors and a different European location each year it can be quite a challenge! I work closely with customers from over 90 countries, so I travel a lot and get to use the languages I studied at university.

I work with a fantastic team of people and their commitment and enthusiasm is inspirational. We work hard but still have fun. We sit together in an open-plan office – it’s lively, fast-paced and I enjoy exchanging spontaneous ideas with colleagues, sharing successes and talking through issues openly. It’s also a very supportive environment – we’re not just colleagues, we’re friends and that makes for a great team spirit.

When the exhibition opens, it’s an incredible feeling seeing thousands of satisfied customers, and achieving tangible results is immensely rewarding for us all. As soon as it’s over, I start planning how to make the next one even better!
